Cosmedic iRescue Under Eye Serum - Review

Cosmedic is a brand that has till date impressed me with its quality of products and the fact that they do show results. When I was given the opportunity to try out the iRescue under eye serum, I was hoping that this would turn out to be my HG product for the under eyes. This area of mine needs serious help! Because of years of working at night, I have developed pretty bad dark circles as well as fine lines have appeared much sooner than I expected them to. iRescue's claims were so impressive that I started using the product regularly hoping to get good results. Did the serum work? Read on to find out..

What does Cosmedic have to say about iRescue?

The ultimate under-eye serum that is clinically proven to reduce under eye circles, puffiness, fine lines and pigmentation within days. Patented Eyeliss with firming peptides is organically recombined with patented Bio-Stabilized Vitamin C, Retinyl Palmitate and our natural hyaluronic acid analogue. First in India with our self-sterilizing applicator for safe and healthy use. Free of hydroquinone, steroids, and other irritating demelanizing agents. Hypoallergenic & Non-Comedogenic!

My Thoughts

The iRescue serum comes in a long tube with a doe-foot applicator inside which makes applying the serum very easy. I would have liked the tube to be transparent as this would have given an inkling as to how much of the product is used up.

The texture of this serum is of a thin, runny white liquid. Because of the doe-foot applicator, its easy to apply a thin layer and the good thing about the serum is that it absorbs very easily, so no problem with residue. The serum provides good hydration to the under eye area and keeps it soft and supple but honestly, I have not seen any effect on either my dark circles, fine lines or puffiness. And this is not just my opinion but even my mom's who's also been using the product. It's been nearly a month since both of us have been using iRescue but no visible results yet. In short, despite all the claims, this did not work for me. I also think that the price of Rs 850 for 10 ml is too high.

I had such high expectations from the product and I'm very sad that this has done nothing for me, except keep my under eye area hydrated, soft and supple. I have read reviews on other blogs where girls have raved about this serum. No idea why this showed no results on me!

Cosmedic Hydro-7 BodyGuard Repairing Lotion - Review

Summer is here in all its glory and the sun is beating down on us with utmost ferocity. The review of a Body Lotion now might not really seem very appropriate but for those of us who use one 12 months a year, this one is quite perfect for summer. The lotion I'm talking about is Cosmedic's Hydro-7 BodyGuard Repairing Lotion, priced at Rs 450 for 100 ml.

About The Product :

Breakthrough body treatment is proven to soften and relieve clinically dry skin within minutes. With 7% essential Natural Moisturising Factors including 5% Urea, Hydro-7 delivers rapid and significant results. For added benefit, our proprietary Gel-Emulsion base spreads easily while rapidly absorbing into skin for true moisture without any discomfort. Hypoallergenic, Non-Comedogenic and Baby Friendly!

My Thoughts :

1. The packaging is plain and simple and hardly one that you can call attractive. It comes with a pump dispenser and is travel friendly.

2. The texture of the lotion is similar to that of a gel but not totally so. It's like a gel and lotion hybrid and the consistency is a medium one. What I like about the lotion is that it's very light, thereby making it perfect for summer. Spreads easily and absorbs easily as well. There is a nice cooling effect on the skin on application. I'm not very fond of the smell though. Find it too medicine like.

3. The lotion is great at providing hydration to the skin. I apply this after a shower and the skin stays moisturized the entire day. I do not reapply anymore. If you have super dry skin, you might have to but on normal-dry skin, a one time application is enough.

4. Because of its light texture and effective hydration properties, this lotion is a winner to me and I would recommend for normal-dry skin. They could have reduced the price slightly though. For 100 ml, Rs 400 is kinda steep.

If you are looking for a light body lotion for summer, give the Cosmedic Hydro-7 BodyGuard Repairing Lotion a try. I'm liking it!

Cosmedic Dermave Nourishing Cleanser Review

Hello my lovelies!

Having a super start to the New Year? I definitely am! Today no office for me so taking full advantage of the day off. A few of my friends came over for lunch and we all had some yummy home-cooked fish, chicken curry, rice and phirni. After stuffing ourselves, watched Hangover 2 on HBO which was an ok film. Liked the first one much more. December was a great month for me at work, not much pressure and everyone in a festive mood but it's all gonna get back to normal starting from tomorrow. Fun's up..time to get back to serious work :(..

The first post of 2013 is going to be of another super product by Cosmedic. Earlier, I had reviewed the Lumi Day Brightening Lotion, a wonderful moisturizer for dry skin. Today's review is of the Dermave Nourishing Cleanser, another great product for dry skin.

What is Cosmedic?

Created by a team of doctors from US and India, it is the first brand that is formulated, tested and approved by dermatologists. It is spearheaded by Dr Kiran Lohia.

What does Cosmedic Offer?

Products that treat acne, Pigmentation, Sensitive skin, Dry-skin, Anti-aging, Stretch marks and Hairfall.

What does Cosmedic say about this?

Clinically proven replenishing cream wash gently cleanses while actively hydrating dehydrated skin. Essential Natural Moisturising Factors deliver vital moisture to the skin while nourishing the skin barrier. Gentle and effective enough to be used on both the face and body. Hypoallergenic, Non-Comedogenic, Baby Friendly & Skin-Safe pH!

My Views :

Packaging - Similar to the Lumi Day Brightening lotion, the packaging is simple, fuss-free and elegant which I quite like. The outer packaging includes details of the product and the bottle comes with a pump to dispense the face wash. It has a very mild fragrance, similar to that of a medicated cleanser.

Texture & Consistency - Even though this is a hydrating cleanser, the texture is not 100% creamy, unlike cleansers meant for dry skin. I've never been a fan of creamy washes simply because they do not lather much, and I like my soapy suds. Else, feel that the face is not squeaky clean. I like that the formula of this wash is a mix between a gel and cream and you need a very small amount.

Effect on my skin - I've been using this cleanser daily for two weeks now and loving the effect of my skin. It leaves me with a well hydrated, clean and a fresh face. I follow this up with the Lumi Day lotion, and the combination of both products has been really good for my skin. I've not yet tried this as a body cleanser though but I know it will be equally effective.

I highly recommend this cleanser to all my fellow dry-skin beauties. I know you will love it too!

The Dermave Nourishing Cleanser is priced at Rs 250 for 100 ml. You can buy it online at www.cosmedic.in and they have a COD option available. If you are living in Kolkata, you can get Cosmedic products at 70A Shakespeare Sarani, Kol-700017. Ph - +913340003100.

Cosmedic Lumi Day Brightening Day Lotion - Worth Trying!

You must have seen my Facebook post a couple of days back where I had mentioned that I was trying out skincare products from a new brand. Well, no more suspense. The name of the brand is Cosmedic  and I've been trying out their Soothing facial cleanser and the Brightening Day lotion. Today's review is of the Lumi Day Brightening Lotion.

When Cosmedic got in touch with me to send samples of their products, I had specifically requested that they send products suitable for dry skin. Even though, I have normal skin during the rest of the year, winters are terrible on my skin. Anything that I apply gets absorbed within no time and I have re-apply my moisturizer very frequently. Every winter I set out to discover that 'wonder' product that would banish my dryness woes and this year I'm so lucky to have found the Lumi Day Brightening Lotion with SPF 30.

What does Cosmedic say about this?

Daily-use facial moisturizer significantly reduces dullness and discoloration while correcting the appearance of marks. Our proprietary Concentrated Hydroxy Complex delivers a potent mix of 4% Alpha Hydroxy Acids combined with Natural Moisturising Factors for gentle yet effective results. Broad spectrum  SPF 30++ simultaneously prevents further pigmentation from occurring. Free of hydroquinone, steroids, and other irritating demelanizing agents. Hypoallergenic and Non-Comedogenic!

My views -

I've been using this moisturizer for about two weeks now and really happy with its effect on my skin.

Packaging - Very simple, fuss-free and elegant. Does not look too much like a medicinal product and neither like a cosmetic one. The outer packaging includes details of the product and the bottle comes with a pump to dispense the moisturizer. The fragrance is slightly medicinal though.

Texture & Consistency - A cream formula which is of a moderately thick consistency. The description says apply liberally on the face but it's not really required. A max of three pumps is enough to do its job. On application, the product stings slightly, because of the alpha hydroxy acids but it lasts only for a couple of seconds. Because of its relatively thicker consistency, the lotion does take a bit of time to absorb in to the skin. Those with oily skin might find it to be a problem as it will make the skin look greasy but for those with dry skin, it's wonderful. It keeps my skin hydrated for the entire day till I wash it off. No touching up at all!

Effect on my skin - Winter makes my skin look really dull but this time I'm noticing a certain brightness and luminosity which I'm loving! My skin feels hydrated all the time, looks fresh and I can see an improvement in the texture. Honestly, I was a bit wary of trying out something on my face that I've never heard of but I'm so glad I did. I highly recommend this brightening lotion specially for all my fellow dry-skin beauties. I know you will love it too!

I don't know if this is available in stores but you can buy it online at www.cosmedic.in. If you are living in Kolkata, you can get Cosmedic products at 70A Shakespeare Sarani, Kol-700017. Ph - +913340003100.

The Lumi Day Brightening Lotion is priced at Rs 350 for 60 ml
