If you like rich, exotic scents then you must get your hands on Faraway Gold, Avon's latest perfume. It is an oriental floral fragrance and features peach, orange, jasmine, vanilla, ylang-ylang, amber and coconut notes. I received the perfume about a week back and I've been wearing it everyday since then which says how much I'm loving it.
I wish the packaging was as wonderful as the perfume itself. Avon was probably going for that exotic touch by adding a black tassle but the bottle itself is very unappealing to me. I would have preferred a clear glass bottle rather than the painted gold one. I also don't know why Avon did not include the jewelled tassle like they did in the US. That would have really made a difference.
Coming to the perfume itself, it is warm and slightly dry thereby making it perfect for the coming months. The notes that hit my nose immediately after spraying this on are vanilla and coconut, both my favorites. The scent is comforting and thankfully not too sweet and headache inducing. As far as staying power goes, Faraway Gold performs really well. On me, it lasts for nearly 5 hours without topping up.
Faraway Gold is priced at Rs 1499 and is lovely. Definitely worth buying!
