Look Picture Perfect this Valentine’s Day with Estée Lauder

Valentine's Day is fast approaching and if you are still undecided on what makeup look to go for, fret not coz Tom Pecheux, Creative Makeup Director of Estee Lauder has some tips specially for you. Here goes..

Fun, Flirty, Girly
For the face, use the new Invisible Fluid Makeup for a soft, natural matte look, and for cheeks, use the Pure Color Blush, on the lower part of the cheeks, which creates contour and gives the face a little more definition.  On the lips, one can use a lovely pinky beige color, such as the Pure Color Lipstick in Vanilla Truffle and put a little bit of white eye shadow on top of it, to give lips more of a matte finish without being dry.
However the focus of this look should be on the eyes! Create a sexy, oval eye in a black-burgundy shade like the Pure Color Five Color EyeShadow Palette in Violet Underground.
To finish off the look, add a little bit of white, matte eye shadow to the inside corner of the eye, under the eyebrow, which will create more contrast and volume around the eyes.

Sultry, Sensuous, Sexy
A lot of drama on the eyes creates sensuality, sexiness.  Smokey eyes are sexy and playful! Smokey Eyes is one of the easiest makeup applications to create – much easier than creating the perfect red lip! Start with a black or brown pencil. Rub it onto the tip of your finger then smudge onto the eyelid from the middle out – don’t powder the lid beforehand. This will give you a great base to then add the color eye shadow you want. Use a large eye brush and dust shadow over the top. You can use a black or brown pencil underneath the eye and finish with a black mascara.
I am drawn to the intense black of the Pure Color Intense Kajal Eye liner in Black. Simply apply the pencil around the inner and outer rim of the eye for a sexy, smoldering effect. Use as liner along lash line and softly smudge over lids to intensify the smoky look.

Timeless, Classic, Pin-up
The red lip is such a classic, timeless look that it never goes out of style! If you're going to do a bold red lip, you should do it first, before the eyes and the cheeks. Try the Double Wear Stay-in-Place Lipstick in Stay Scarlet. Painting on a bold lip colour first, sets the tone for the rest of your makeup, and helps you avoid going overboard with your look. To balance out a siren-red mouth, contour the cheeks with a fluffy brush topped with a mix of powder and bronzer. Because you want the attention to stay focused on the red lips, go light on the eye makeup like dusting a smoky grey shadow into the crease only. When you have a lot of lash going on, skip shadow on the lid, since it'll distract from the lashes. To complete the pin-up look, do a simple wing of dark liner!
