I got my July Vellvette box about an hour back and oh boy am I pleased! I've been in a horrible mood since Sunday night. The weather here has been dull, dreary and depressing plus I've been down with a bad case of the viral fever so you can understand my current state of mind. The arrival of the Vellvette box has brought me some much needed cheer and I can't thank the team enough. This month's theme is 'Quick Fix' so the products that I've got claim to do just that. Perfect for me, a woman who's always short of time! So without much ado, here's a list of what all I've got

What's Inside My June Vellvette Bag!

I got my June Vellvette bag 15 mins back and I absolutely loveeee it!! The theme for June is travel and a pink cosmetics bag replaces the usual black box this month. I like that the bag is big and roomy and perfect to store all my makeup and skincare products while I'm out travelling. The products are very well chosen and I like the variety that has been given. And a big thanks to Vellvette for not forgetting to include my April missing sample this month. Love the bag and love you Vellvette. Keep up the good work and keep spreading happiness every month..

What did you get in your June Vellvette bag?

Inside My May Vellvette Box

Like most of you, I got my Vellvette box yesterday as well and wanted to give you all a peek inside it. Kudos to Vellvette for delivering the box way before time but brickbats to them for not including the product which they had missed out on sending last month. I've reached out to them and hopefully things should get sorted out soon but its very irritating when the same thing happens twice in a row. The saving grace is that I really like my May box.

The theme for the month is Organic and the products selected are apparently the best organic fare that beauty has to offer. Here's a list of what I got:

1. Brocato Curlinterrupted Smoothing & Hydrating Treatment Kit - No idea about this brand but I'm happy that I've been sent products suitable for my normal-dry hair. 

2. Flormar Deluxe Shine Gloss Lipstick D40 - This is a red lipstick and I'm really liking the color, texture and the pigmentation. It goes on very smooth and makes the lips look glossy and luscious. Flormar is a Turkish brand and they make quite good stuff. Not exactly high end but not too bad either. 

3. Tvam Apricot and Walnut Scrub and Body Polisher - A regular body scrub

4. Bonus Product - Anna Andre Extreme Elegance Matte Foundation - The shade is not an exact match but I can make it work. The smell is way too strong though!

I'm liking this month's box because they have included products that I will definitely use. My favorite is the lipstick and I can see myself wearing that pretty often.

What's Inside My April Vellvette Box?

After last month's disappointment, I wasn't expecting a lot out of the April Vellvette box but boy did these people surprise me! Just received the box now and I'm really happy with the contents. Here's what I got

1. Motives Mardi Gras Palette
2. Clarins White Plus Whitening Velvet Emulsion sample
3. Max Factor Masterpiece Max High Volume & Definition Mascara sample

I'm a bit confused though as to why I haven't received the fourth product since I subscribed for 6 months while that offer was going on. Have contacted Vellvette. Let's see what they say. Leaving that aside, I'm very very with the box. It's a nice mix of high-end and budget brands and that palette sure looks lovely. I honestly have never heard of Motives so will need to do some research to find out how their products perform but from the looks of it, so far so good.

Inside My March Vellvette Box

I got my March Vellvette box today and it's pretty much the same as what most of you got. I was so hoping to get the Nyassa bar and not the food supplement but no such luck unfortunately. I have mixed feelings about this month's box. It's filled with a lot of products but how many I will actually use is the question!

Let's take a look at what I got:

1. Meiji Amino Collagen Skin Glow - I'm a hardcore non-veg so no issues on consumption but I'm really wary of trying out a food supplement that aims to give good skin. Ok, so it might be featured on Oprah but I don't know if I want to take a chance with this. What if there are side effects!

2. Lots of Mary Kay samples - I have not tried Mary Kay products and the samples seem like a good option to try but these are so small, I'll probably misplace half of them. Rather than giving so many of these minuscule sachets, would have preferred a decent sized eye shadow or lipstick.

3. Lush Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion - Again, the sample is way too tiny but I still like this one. Have kept it in the office drawer and will use for quick touch ups.

4. Remy Laure DNA Beauty Cream + DNA Hydra Mask - Remy Laure is supposed to be a premium spa brand so I'm looking forward to trying out these two products.

5. OPI Mini Nail Lacquer - This I love! Such a pretty color!

I can definitely see myself using the OPI polish, the Lush cream and the Remy Laure products. Not so much the Mary Kay and the Meiji samples. I just renewed my subscription for the next 6 months so I'm really hoping that the upcoming boxes will not disappoint.

What's Inside My Feb Vellvette Box

The Feb Vellvette box got delivered yesterday and I'm absolutely in love with it! This has got to be the best box that's been given by Vellvette and kudos to the entire team for picking out the lovely products. I'm also super happy with their delivery this month. Usually I receive my box towards the end of the month but this time I'm only a day late which is just great!

The moment I got the box, after taking pictures, I tried on the blush and the balm and I'm very impressed by both. The blush gives off a very pretty flushed look while the balm is really hydrating and I love the peppermint smell. It's tough to choose which one is the star of the Feb box, but after much thought I'll give it to Figs and Rouge. Vellvette, you just fueled my desire to now hunt for all Figs and Rouge products!

I know a number of you got the same stuff that I did but I'm still gonna go ahead and post the pics..

Vellvette is improving on their service every month and I think I'm gonna go ahead with the one year subscription now. Really excited to see what they come up with next and I hope they don't disappoint!

What's Inside My Jan Vellvette Box?

By now a lot of you must have received the much awaited Vellvette boxes and know that this month it comes wrapped in a shimmery gold ribbon. The black box is something that I look forward to every month very eagerly and this month was no difference. Adding to the expectations were the pictures that were all over FB and the blogosphere on what everyone got. Benefit, Clinique, Dior..they were all so tempting! I was really hoping to get the Benefit samples so when the box was delivered yesterday, I was really excited. The excitement kinda went of the window when I opened the box. Inside were the customary three product samples:

1. Nyassa Belgian Chocolate Scrub
2. OPI Nail Varnish - Red Lights Ahead Where
3. Dior Capture Totale One Essential Super Skin Boosting Serum

Individually, the products are not really bad but ever since I subscribed to the box, I've been getting skin serums every month! I may not be in my early twenties anymore but cmon Vellvette, not that old either that I can't be given makeup samples! It' great that you are giving very high-end stuff but I'd really like a break now from the serums!

The OPI varnish I really liked. Cute bottle and such a gorgeous color! I always love red so no issues with this one.

The Nyassa scrub is a part of all boxes this month and I'm still on the fence on whether I like it or not. The product looks great and I'm a sucker for anything that even remotely smells of chocolate. This one definitely smells great but the huge size of the sugar crystals is worrying me a bit though. Gotta try it to give an opinion.

In terms of happiness quotient, I'm on a 3 out of 5 right now. Would have been really happy if I had got Benefit samples or Dior foundation samples along with the OPI and the chocolate scrub. The serum kinda killed it for me :(

I just got my December Vellvette Box and even though I'm really happy to see the contents, I'm also very sad because the lipstick I got is broken :(. Hopefully Vellvette will send me a replacement soon coz I quite like the color that I got.

Kudos to the Vellvette team once again for this box of goodies. My 3 month subscription unfortunately has ended with the December box. Definitely getting myself another 3 month subscription!

November Vellvette Box

I got my November Vellvette box an hour back and since I know a lot of you are eagerly waiting to know what's inside, lets get straight to business.

My beauty fix for this month includes:

1. Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum, 15 ml
2. NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Eyeshadow - Oro. This a full size 5ml bottle
3. Forest Essentials Revitalising Kashmiri Walnut Gel Scrub, 15g
4. Discount Coupons

For me, the star of this month's box is definitely the Clarins Serum. It's supposed to be an intensive, moisture-replenishing serum that helps restore the skin's natural hydration mechanisms so really looking forward to trying that out on my dry skin. The Forest Essentials scrub is great but wish the sample size was a bit bigger. If Clarins can give 15ml, cmon Forest Essentials, you can do better right? I'm also looking forward to trying out the NYX powder (when did NYX become a luxury brand is a question though!). The color is a gorgeous copper-gold and can be used on the lids, cheeks as well as lips. Will let you know how that works out. Vellvette is also giving flat discounts on any product from the November collection whether it's in your box or not on their website so worth checking out the offers. Overall, I'm quite happy with my box and kudos to the team for nailing it once again.

October Vellvette Box and a Clinique EOTD

Yess..I am extremely late in posting this but not my fault pretties, I got the October box only today. Out of the hundreds of boxes that were shipped this month, mine got misplaced by the courier company and no one could track it. Kudos to the Vellvette team for following up with me regularly and re-sending another box. I was already impressed by the quality of products that Vellvette sends out in each of the boxes but now I'm equally impressed by their customer service. For a customer, it's really important that the company pays attention to your problems and pro-actively works towards solving it and Vellvette did exactly did. Thank you to the team and I hope you continue to make us happy every month for a really long time.

So now on to the box. I got three products this month and I'm really happy with all of them.

My favorite product in the box is the Clinique palette for sure. Really pretty colors that thankfully suit my skintone. I tried out the eyeshadows today and liked the pigmentation. Here's a look that I came up with using the pink, plummy brown and greyish black colors. For the liner, used MAC's Blacktrack and the mascara was Lakme's Eyeconic Curling Mascara.
