In October, Oriflame launched The One, a new range of color cosmetics and this month’s products include the Illuskin foundation, Concealer, Volume Blast mascara and the Eyeliner Stylo – a sharp liner with a firm felt tip end. I’ve already spoken about the two shades of the Eyeliner Stylo in an earlier post. Today, it’s the turn of the Illuskin Foundation.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced foundation which gives decent coverage, is light and oil-free and gives a natural finish, then you can try the new Oriflame The ONE Illuskin Foundation which comes in four shades. And I must mention that it is by far the best smelling foundation I have used till date! Another plus point is that it has SPF 20 so perfectly suited for the day time. Be careful not to use any foundation with SPF at night especially if you are going to be photographed unless you want to look like a ghost in the pictures!
The IlluSkin Foundation comes in a 30 ml glass bottle and a push-down pump dispenser. One pump offers the right amount for one medium coverage application but the formula is buildable so you can apply another layer if you want to go a bit heavier. The foundation is said to include HaloLight technology to give an illuminating glow. Don’t expect something extraordinary but yes you can see some ‘glow’. It is quite dewy when you first apply but once it settles on the skin, the finish is matte so you don’t have to worry about looking shiny. It blends seamlessly into the skin, does not cling on to dry patches, feels light and looks really natural. The Oriflame IlluSkin Foundation lasts for about 5 hours on me.
Left to Right - Olive Beige, Nude Pink, Natural Beige, Porcelain Beige |
