Dove Damage Solutions Intense Repair Shampoo and Conditioner - Review

My hair has always been quite fond of Dove shampoos and conditioners and it is liking the new Intense Repair shampoo and conditioner as well. I know that these are loaded with sulphates and other harsh chemicals but my hair has not rebelled yet so I'm ok with it till now.

What does Dove claim?

Contains Keratin Actives that go deep within, to help rebuild damaged hair at the cellular level*. It makes your hair beautifully smooth, strong and resilient to damage. 

What do I think?

Shampoo - 

I have normal-dry hair that is slightly wavy and I do not face problems with frizz, split ends or breakage. Honestly, to me this is like any regular shampoo. Nothing extra-ordinary but nothing to trash either. Lathers well, cleans well and does not make my hair very dry or rough. I don't have damaged hair so can't really vouch for Dove's claims of rebuilding hair but I did notice that my hair fall has reduced slightly after using this range. 

Conditioner - 

The shampoo works very well with the conditioner to make hair soft and smooth. I like that the consistency is not too thick to weigh hair down and rinses off easily. 

If you have normal-dry hair that is straight and silky, this range should work well. I would not recommend this to pretties with oily hair coz this will only make hair more greasy. One of the cons of using these shampoos and conditioners is that they can cause product buildup which makes hair limp and flat so do use a clarifying shampoo once a week.

I will not say that the Dove Intensive Repair Shampoo and Conditioner is a must have but if you have the same hair type as mine and do not mind using sulphates and chemicals, you can give this a try.
